Flea Market

The boosters will host only one major Antique Sale and Flea Market
event this year.  Profits from the space rentals are returned to the
community in funding other events throughout the year.

May 10, 2008

The Flea Market is a one-day event, rain or shine, 9am till 4pm.

Anyone wishing to participate in the now annual Flea Market must fill
out a
contract and return it by mail with full payment prior to the event.

Hundreds of antique and crafting vendors are placed throughout the
small community to sell their wares.  Residents are also allowed to
participate, selling home-made crafts and flea market items.  Parking is
available on the street on Route 84 and County Line Road, as well as in
private rural lots for a modest fee.  Pedestrian traffic only is allowed
during this event, bikes, scooters and skateboards are discouraged.  Pets
are not allowed during the event.

The Antique Sale and Flea Market has been held semi-annually for over
25 years but will unfortunately only be held annually beginning in
2007.  On Flea Market day, Unionville will host over 200 vendors and
more than 5000 visitors.

The funding from the Flea Market goes to sponsor the following:

• Community Parties
• Two annual scholarships of $750 each to graduating Unionville
high school seniors.
• Maintenance of flags and flower baskets throughout the community
• Maintenance of the historic Community Center and items on display.
•Welcome baskets of flowers and goodies to new residents, cards and
flowers to residents for illness, births, etc.
• Christmas wreaths for each home
• Letters from Santa.  Any child sending a letter addressed to Santa at
the Unionville Post Office, 44088, will receive a personalized letter in
return.

• Support of local charities and community organizations such as
